SO GOOD!!! The place is small but let me tell you it's worth the wait.. super cute little place, great for date night or just to grab a bite with friends. This place smells amazing cooking on a wood fire grill , food was Sooooo Good service was great and drinks were delish. What more could you ask for

A great, cozy independent restaurant off the beaten path. The happy hour drinks and prices are excellent! Complemented by an attentive waitstaff. All our meals were excellent! The salmon cooked to perfection, grilled meatloaf with just the right amount of spice and rigatoni in meat sauce was super savory. All menu items sequenced in price order by section - great for you eaters that like things organized. This was our third visit and we'll be back for sure.

I have loved the grill for years. I love their brunch, but I'm obsessed with their fish tacos. This is where I come for a casual lunch or a celebratory drink. The service is usually pretty quick, but can get a little slow if the bartender is busy. And that's okay. I'd rather see restaurants busy.

My server/wait staff, BRAD...was super. This gentleman took care of tea refills and was extremely attentive to my wife and I . I was just wish I remembered his last name. This young man was beyond extraordinary. The ambience was a little louder than I would like...however the service and delectable food was worth a little noise. The only reason I went here is because of their KEY LIME pie. I also love the appetizer of guacamole and queso. One of my favorite main courses is the Meat Loaf. I had to tell them to leave some of the sweetness off, but they did comply with that request. Sometimes Meat Loaf is too sweet for me. I prefer it to be more savory.

"WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME" - My Lovely Wife and I LoVe going out to eat and do it often - and Friday Night was no exception. For some reason we have not been to one of our Favorite Spots in San Angelo - "The GRILL". All the food they serve is Awesomelyliciousness and they have the Best Bartenders around. It's kind of like 'Cheers' - you know, the place where everybody knows your name. When people walk in they seem to know someone already here - and when they walk by they say 'Hi' - it's one of the Friendliest places in San Angelo. We arrived right at 5pm and this place is packed with every table taken and only 3-stools at the bar available - and we took 2 of them. Lee & Taylor are the Bartenders and they both greeted us - and were glad to see us - it's been a while. My Wife is going with our Favorite Drink - Jack-N-Coke, and I am having their 'Old Fashioned'. They make the Best Old Fashioneds in San Angelo and they use a Luxardo Maraschino Cherry, which are Dark-Meaty-Liciousness (we have these at our house also). When our drinks arrived we placed our order. Going with their; "Queso 'Americano' with Guacamole" ($6.50); Pimento-style Queso with House Made Guacamole & Fresh Cut Tortilla Chips. Also the "Roasted Pork Nachos" ($6.50); Slow Roasted Pork, Chipotle Sauce, Tomatoes, Cilantro, Black Beans, Cheddar Cheese over Fresh Chips with Green sliced Jalapenos on one side and Red sliced Jalapenos throughout the plate. Both of these are on their 'Happy Hour Menu' and they don't serve you a small portion, it's the same size as their Regular menu - and it's enough for two - we are sharing these. While we waited for our food we enjoyed these drinks - and they are 'The Best'. My taste-buds are very happy. Soon, and I mean Very-Soon, the 'Queso' arrived and we commented on how fast it was served. The Girl that brought it out said it only takes a couple of seconds. People, this is One-Beautiful-Presentation of A-Couple-Seconds-liciousness. The Guac and the Pimento-style Cheese are Huge Scoops of Thicklyliciousness - not like a normal Queso - and with lots of Fresh Chips. The Guac and the Pimento makes a tasty combination of Quesoliciousness 'The GRILL' way. It's time for another round of drinks and soon our 'Roasted Pork Nachos' arrived and this plate is piled high and Very Colorful - it's like 'Christmas in September' (or whatever month you're here). The Roasted Pork is Pulled Chunks throughout - they are everywhere. The mixture of these ingredients are perfectly-balanced with a different taste in every bite - and just the right amount of 'heat' from the Jalapenos - red throughout and green on the side for more 'heat' when wanted. At 'The GRILL', no matter what you order you will receive a Beautiufl Prensentation of Deliciousness - they do it right. My Wife and I finished off the Queso but brought some of the Pork Nachos home - you get a lot of food here - and these are Appetizers. We Love sitting at the Bar because you not only get to see some Real Busy Bartenders but chatting with the other Bar Customers is always fun - a bunch of Great People. A 'Five-Dollar-Bow-Tie' Award was left for the Bartenders - and a nice tip. 'The GRILL' is still packed with customers and the Bartenders are really busy - as are the Servers. We always enjoy our time at 'The GRILL' - no matter what you order in drinks or food - it's the BEST - and the BEST Service weather you're at the Bar or a Table. On the way home my Lovely Wife and I enjoyed another Beautiful Early Evening in San Angelo - the West Texas Area where the Dessert meets the Hill Country and Wine is abundant - as is Cold Beer. Came here for dinner and loved it! Everything was cooked perfectly and done so well. The salmon appetizer was insane. I want to try to order it with a side salad next time just for my meal, it's that good! The fish tacos were also fantastic. I love how it's just a massive slab of fish that you assemble yourself. I can't wait to come back!
